TLC MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Twin Lakes Conservancy is to preserve and enhance Twin Lakes and its neighborhood for ourselves and future generations. We seek protection for the existing high quality of life on the Lakes in activities such as fishing, swimming, boating, family recreation, and the study of nature. We seek protection against diminished water quality, damage to fish and wildlife habitat, and over development. Our members are people who live on or near the Lakes, and people who use the Lakes.
We are fellow residents of Whispering Pines Estates who share a deep affection for Twin Lakes and all the recreational opportunities they provide. We are inviting you to participate in a new organization dedicated to preserving the quality of Twin Lakes for generations to come. Twin Lakes Conservancy Inc. (“TLC”) is a non-profit private corporation formed in January 2001. As its first Directors, we are committed to securing and enhancing the natural habitat, the water quality, the fishery, and the general recreational and aesthetic values of the lakes for our families and for yours.

How much will it cost to participate?
Annual membership dues are only $15.00 per individual or family. TLC has achieved status as a charitable organization exempt from federal taxation, all membership dues and other contributions are fully deductible. Members will receive newsletters and will be invited to participate in social and educational gatherings as well as membership business meetings.
Why do we need TLC?
TLC was created to develop a partenership with our lake neighbors to preserve and enhance the quality of Twin Lakes. We have a rare opportunity to create a wise plan for long-range lake management. We need TLC to build a community consensus to preserve the lakes, to pool available resources, to assess current lake quality and to promote a healthy fishery.
How else can I participate?
TLC welcomes the support of its members in numerous ways. Some will be able to donate time and talent to targeting and advancing our goals. Others may be able to provide additional financial support. We want to know your ideas for protecting Twin Lakes. We hope to ignite a spirit of community concern for Twin Lakes, and to create partnerships with individuals, governmental agencies and private foundations to accomplish our lake management goals.
